Weekly Writing Prompt - Character Creation

Since this week’s subject is characters, I’d thought I’d do a writing prompt on character creation. Come up with a mental image of a character. Don’t picture someone you know, imagine someone entirely new you have just created. If it helps, you can pick different physical traits from people you’ve seen before and give them to this new character to help you describe them.

For this prompt, imagine yourself waiting for a train and your character shows up and sits next to you. Start asking them questions about them, their life, their hobbies, etc. The idea is to get a better sense of this character's personality, how they speak, and what their interests are. Don’t plan too much ahead, just write whatever comes to mind and feels natural.
